Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp confirms he has been in contact with Mario Got
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed he has been in touch with stricken Borussia Dortmund star Mario Gotze But the 24-year-old was rocked earlier this week when it was confirmed he had been ruled out indefinitely with a ‘metabolic disorder’.The Germany international had been heavily linked with a potential move to Anfield with a move back to Dortmund from Bayern Munich last summer failing to reignite his career.
Gotze enjoyed the most successful period of his club career under Klopp’s tutelage and the Liverpool boss revealed he had sent the talented midfielder his best wishes.
‘We have exchanged messages,’ he said. ‘I am always in touch with my former players.
‘Now he knows the diagnosis, he needs to work on it and with it.’
