'We did enough to get another shot at it'

Blackburn 1-2 Manchester United
Blackburn boss Owen Coyle: "We gave a very good account of ourselves but nobody likes losing games. We did enough to get another shot at it today.
"We now have to show that display week in week out in the Championship.
"We know we have good footballers here, nobody could see they are short changed by us when it comes to entertainment.
"We showed great spirit and courage to try and get an equaliser at the end and we will need those qualities for the rest of the season."

'Blackburn have a big chance to survive'

Blackburn 1-2 Manchester United
Manchester United
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho: "Did they give us a good game? More than good, they gave us a hard game and congratulations to them. Their approach was brave, strong. They had real competitors and if we didn't have the right attitude from everybody we would be in real trouble.
"For long periods of the game you couldn't feel which one was the strongest team, they were brilliant. If they transfer this quality to the Championship they will have a big chance to survive.
"We conceded a brilliant goal. it was a brilliant goal. The movement and shot was really good, it didn't affect any player individually for us. We kept stable and we then scored a great goal.
"Southampton is sleeping, is eating and resting and working for the League Cup final and we have had to play three tough games. It is so much more difficult for us, but for good reasons."

FA Cup quarter-final draw
The last time Tottenham played Millwall in the FA Cup was in the 1966/67 season. They went on to lift the trophy that time.

Lewis Starks: The perfect draw for Lincoln! Either Sutton (most likely...) or a cash rich away trip. Flip side... Another easy draw for Arsenal.

'A glorious defeat'

Blackburn 1-2 Manchester United
Mark Lawrenson
Former Liverpool defender on Radio 5 live
United have done enough, but only just. They know they have been in a game, that's for certain.
There's no doubt that the substitutions changed the course of the game, the pace of the game. All of a sudden United went for it with Zlatan and Pogba.
Blackburn never gave up and had a triple chance to get an equaliser. In many ways it's a glorious defeat for them, they did very well but now they must concentrate on Championship survival.

DISALLOWED GOAL

Blackburn 1-2 Man Utd
Tense!
Connor Mahoney - who has been excellent since coming on - gives two Manchester United defenders the slip to get into space just outside the box. He fizzes in a shot, Sergio Romero saves and then blocks Marvin Emnes' follow up. Anthony Stokes pokes in but he is blatantly offside and he knows it as he looks to the linesman's flag.

All or nothing now for Blackburn and they are piling players forward.
Paul Pogba gives away a free-kick on the right and Connor Mahoney fires it in low, but Manchester United clear.

SUBSTITUTION

Final change for Blackburn as Danny Guthrie is replaced by 19-year-old midfielder Willem Tomlinson, who is making his senior debut.

SUBSTITUTION

Blackburn 1-2 Man Utd
That goal is Zlatan Ibrahimovic's first in the FA Cup and 24th in all competitions. He's well on course to break the 30 barrier in his first Premier League season. Like a duck to water.
Blackburn made a change straight after that goal, Danny Graham off for Anthony Stokes.

'He had an eternity'

Blackburn 1-2 Manchester United
Mark Lawrenson
Former Liverpool defender on Radio 5 live
Zlatan seemed to have an eternity, just waiting for the ball. He was onside. It was a great ball from Paul Pogba and Zlatan just caressed it into the far corner. A great finish.

GOAL - Blackburn 1-2 Man Utd

Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Two subs combine as Ibrahimovic slots Man Utd ahead
The substitutes combine to give Manchester United the lead.
Paul Pogba lifts the ball from halfway and over the defence for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who times his run perfectly before waiting for the bounce and then hooking the ball into the far corner.
Jose Mourinho repeatedly punches the air, probably more in relief than delight.

SUBSTITUTION

Blackburn 1-1 Man Utd
First change for Blackburn as Connor Mahoney comes on for Liam Feeney. Mahoney is immediately involved, getting past Matteo Darmian before winning the hosts a corner. He takes it and Charlie Mulgrew heads into the net, but Martin Atkinson had already blown for a foul.

YELLOW CARD

Blackburn 1-1 Man Utd
Ashley Young steps in front of Craig Conway, sending the Blackburn Rovers man sprawling to the floor. Martin Atkinson blows his whistle and marches towards Young, who tries his best to ignore the referee before eventually turning and accepting the yellow card.

'Decision time for Rovers'

Blackburn 1-1 Manchester United
Mark Lawrenson
Former Liverpool defender on Radio 5 live
Decision time for Owen Coyle now. He has seen the changes that Manchester United have made and the dynamism that has brought.
Does he keep both Emnes and Graham up front? Or drop one back into midfield and try and take a replay?

Blackburn 1-1 Man Utd
Jose Mourinho, who has miniature pools of water forming on his shoulders from the drizzle, scrunches up his face as time ticks on towards the 90. Last thing he wants is a replay.

Blackburn 1-1 Man Utd
Blackburn's football has been easy on the eye at times in this game. I saw them a couple of times against Huddersfield this season and was impressed. How are they second from bottom?
They've not had as many chances in this half but still carry a threat as Liam Feeney bends a cross behind the Manchester United defence but just ahead of Marvin Emnes' outstretched boot.

'Zlatan encourages the younger players'

Blackburn 1-1 Manchester United
Mark Lawrenson
Former Liverpool defender on Radio 5 live
A classic cross-come-shot. On another day Zlatan Ibrahimovic would have got a toe to that and scored.
Every time I've seen Zlatan live, he's great wth the younger players. He never gets down on them or beats on them if they play a bad pass. He's always clapping them, he's got a great attitude and seems a really good professional.
