Lincoln beat Burnley in the FA Cup

Arguably the biggest giant-killing coup of the season was witnessed at Turf Moor today, as Conference side Lincoln City knocked Premier League side Burnley out of the FA Cup.
The achievement is all the more astonishing given that Lincoln were playing away from home, but they weren’t overawed in the slightest, and fully deserved their win.

Barton cheats

And while most neutrals will have been cheering Lincoln on anyway, Joey Barton ensured that support was unanimous for the Conference club with his disgraceful antics.
He went down holding his head in a pathetic attempt to get Lincoln’s Bradley Wood sent off – which thankfully was ignored by the referee.
He also appeared to strike a Lincoln player in the face in another incident.
Barton took to Twitter afterwards to try and explain his actions, claiming he’d been hit in the head, but even after repeated replay viewings, it’s clear Joey ran into Bradley’s arm, and exagerrated the contact tenfold.
